Anatomy of Dots
MRIS-46 brought a touch of something unexpected and colourful, in the form of dot-artwork , a unique workshop, under the expert guidance of Nilanjana Nandy, a local artist who has been creating her own Indigenous, traditional & Aboriginal dot art paintings. The workshop, conducted on Friday, 21st October, 2016, received an overwhelming participation from various schools of Gurgaon. Some of them included DAV, sector 14 and 48, DPS-Sushant Lok, Bal Bharti, Manesar, Amity, sector 46, and more. Dot artwork, also termed as Anatomy of dots, are the paintings created for educational and ceremonial purposes as well as telling of events that have occurred. The vision, quality of execution in the medium and the use of composition to communicate their vision, were the main focused areas of the paintings done by the students in the workshop.
